I know I'm a little late to the party thread guys, but as soon as the holidays are over and I recoup financially, I'm sending an LS7 block to ERL to get the Superdeck I-6 bolt treatment. I can wait!!

Why not just have ERL build the shortblock? Sounds like they will do the block and then have LPE put in the rotating assembly.

That's what I meant. They are going to sleeve it and build me their 434 ci LS7 shortblock with 11.5:1 compression. They don't have any LS7 blocks in their inventory so, luckily I have my own and I'll send it to them around February or March.

Does anyone know if the longer sleeve on these blocks make running piston squirters impossible?

Default oil squirters

The sleeves can be notched for oil squirters. Non issue.

Done several LS9 blocks as well as blocks I had Katech install squirters in. I'll be sleeving another Katech squirter customer block next week.

Default Erl vs red

RED all the way!! I tried 5 times to call and talk to some one at ERL. Kept getting shuffled to one then another and never getting anyone! TALK ABOUT PASSING THE BUCK. Steve at RED has answered all questions promptly and professionally. So all of our projects will go to RED!

That must just be your luck, I just received my block back from them a couple
weeks ago, emails were answered the very next morning before I got to work,
every time I called they answered. I have nothing but good experience with
them. And the block looks NICE.
