Ideas on how to salvage my TFS 225s?

Broke a valve spring but didn't know it and did a full track day with it broken. Spring chewed up locator and shim and galled out this ring in bottom of head. Can I shim up grooved spot to original height? Or should I have it milled out even and then shimmed to correct height? I can't imagine being able to fill in grooved area with anything, but that would be the easiest.
Thoughts?

There was zero noise from valve train and cylinder still holds air without leaking. I was going to just change springs and do compression check and if OK, then not pull heads. I did check the push tubes and they were still true. No matter now, as I am pulling the heads. TFS recommended having them milled for a cup. Not sure what that is, but racing shop that is doing it does. Anyway, I will get a look at piston and valves tomorrow. When all that is done, I still have to drop cradle, pull oil pan, and find the missing pieces of the locator and shim. I hope they are in the top part of oil pan and in the oil filter.
