Default Ly5

So I have read on the net that GM has acknowledge that they have an issue with AFM burning excessive amounts of oil in the LY5 platform and have addressed the issue. What I missed was how they addressed the issue, is there a fix and most importantly what year engine no longer have this issue. I am in the market for new 5.3 platform and I found a very low mileage LY5 with a rebuilt TH350 with a 2,200 stall converter, harness was reworked and PCM was re-flashed. I am going to run the engine in stock form (no upgrades at this time), although I might change the TH350 to a TH400. Thank you in advance for your input.
