Default My pushrod measurements don't seem right. Opinions?

I have an LH6 5.3 I believe. I have a set of used stock 799's. I used LS7 lifters in it(presoaked). Got the Comp adjustable pushrod. I come up with 10.5 turns to close the pushrod after finding zero lash(= 7.325"). I add in my .075 of desired preload and it puts me at a 7.4 pushrod. From what I've been reading, that SHOULD be too long. I've read tons of threads where people have had to go to shorter pushrods when switching to LS7 lifters. Is it possible that my motor is just fine with 7.4's? I've done this measurement/check about 20 times now and come up with almost the same conclusion everytime(got 7.380 a few times). I don't want to order 2 sets of pushrods and have to eat the cost of a set I can't use. Any advice? I followed the write up by Vettenuts.

7.4 is pretty normal for your setup with ls7 lifters.

It makes sense to me. My heads were milled .020" running LS1 lifters and got 7.300" with the comp tool

So 7.325" doesnt seem too far fetched.
