Default Cam / crank gear dots

On the cam gear, is the cut out area what is used as the dot to align the gears? Does this pic look right? Thanks guys.

Yes. Your photo looks correct. Be sure to tighten the camshaft bolts to the correct torque spec. I believe factory is 26 lb/ft.
