Default factory 5.3 deck clearance??
hi I have a 2000 5.3 and I need to know the deck clearance, anyone know? there has been NO machining done just need to know the factory deck clearance

It would be best to measure it yourself on your own motor but the spec is usually that a piston sticks .006 out of the hole.

+1 for measuring yourself, these tools are cheap on jegs.
