hey guys, technical question here. i have a 2010 truck with an all aluminum 5.3 option code lc9 engine code 3. im in need of an engine for it. what years and models can convert or swap into this thing. im hoping we can swap in an older 5.3 cast iron block. its just an old turd of a work truck, and same old story....i dont want to spend any money on it!!!! want to locate a cheap old used 5.3 for it. any ideas???? any help is appreciated

Dont buy a older model engine. Fair advise. Stick with 07-13, go to a local junkyard or look into a short block on the parts for sales.
