Default Callies Magnum Crank question

I'm getting ready to buy a Callies Magnum for my new build and was curious about their Aero-Shed option.

Has anyone seen that done on a Callies crank? I know that they wind up polishing the whole crank to help shed oil, but want to make sure it actually does what they say it does.

While I have not seen the Callies Aero-Shed I do have two of their cranks a Magnum and Magnum XL that have been micro polished to promote oil shedding and decrease windage losses. From what I have read this is what the Aero-Shed actually is. The whole crank almost looks like it is chrome, it is that shiny. Eagle uses a similar if not the same treatment and they did some testing in this link http://www.eaglerod.com/index.php?op...id=7&Itemid=27 .
I have not checked on Callies pricing but mine was $140 for each crank from Performancemetal.net

Micro polishing will also make the crank stronger by smoothing out stress risers.
