Help me build a YSI block
Hello all,
Normal poster on Corvette Forums and lurker around these parts.
I have a 06 Corvette that I am currently making 700rhp on via a Vortech Si. Over winter I plan on building a 408 cast iron lq4/9 block to handle a YSI spun hard on e85.
This is the block that I bought from summit.

I plan on going with LSA heads and a LS9 gasket and the following items.
- Eagle Forged Crankshaft
- Callies Ultra H-Beam
- Wiseco 4.03" -20cc Dish (10-K456X3)
- Coated Clevite Main & Rod Bearing Sets
- 58x
- Upgraded HD Tool Steel for Wiseco Pistons
Anyone seeing any problems?

Only problem I see is that at that link the block shows as unavailable. I would go with a Callies crank myself but that is just personal opinion. Just installing a YSI on my vette myself. Sounds like a nice build and good luck.

For $800--it was better to get it and hold on to it, than run the risk of it becoming out of stock once I needed it.
