Default Removing pin circlip locks!

Got a set of LS7 rods that I need to remove the pistons from. I've Googled all afternoon and only found one vid on You-tube, and that was from a guy that milled a hole in the piston in order to snag the clip. The stock pistons do not have any kind of relief slot to get a tool into, don't want to ruin these as they are almost perfect. I did see this Kent Moore tool but don't know if it's what I need. Would most shops be able to handle these rascals?

Most people I know just mill the pistons like you said, just deep enough to get a small screwdriver or pick under the clip.

I was planning on flipping the pistons, don't need 'em Would that make potential buyers shy off? Where in the boss would it have the least impact on strength?

Thanks!

I think it's an upgrade if done correctly. I have milled into the boss off to the side. I try to mill a small enough hole to fit between the gap in the clip so it doesn't damage it.

Thanks! Guess as long as I fully disclose the "mods" and let the buyer make up his mind...
