600rwhp from 376cid on pump gas or e85, possible?
Friend of mine has been discussing about bringing his ls376/525 to next level. Hoping to achieve 100hp more from stock displacement. It is not a street car, and usable powerband can be over 4000rpm.
My own experiences are from boosted aplications and don´t have clear idea what suggest to him? ...have some ideas on mind, but might be bit overkill from some areas. Tried to convince to go with stroker but he´d want to stick with 376cid.
Is it possible, and what did you guys suggest? high lift cam and just spinning it high.
What really need to be changed, can L92 unported heads produce that from 376cid?

with e85, high compression, big cam/proper valvetrain and a bad *** intake, you can.
However, since its 3.622 inch crank, the motor will peak hp over 7000 rpm. Valve train has to be properly setup.

If goal is to spin engine like 7500rpm, what kind of cam would be suitable in that case?
And valvetrain components then otherwise? Lifters ofcourse, but need of lighter intake valves?
Thoughts what can be achieved on 376 with pump gas? ...and what kind of recipe.

Heads will need to be ported, probably hand ported or at least hand finished. I personally would probably swap out the LS3 heads for LS7 heads. A solid roller with duration probably in the 240's or 250's, and a ported Super Vic or Holley Hi Ram I think would be required as well.
The power per cubic inch isn't unheard of, it's just expensive and it's not usually done with parts you just pick out of a catalog and bolt on.

thats my goal out of a 427 high compression 14.5:1 stroker motor with a huge cam, brodix ls7 heads, holly high rise and big boy valve.. even with all of that i dont know if i can reach it with drive train loss.. guessing on being in the mid the high 700's at the flywheel

I´m from europe so we seem to have bit different standards to power measurement. rwhp seems to be 5-8% of here from fwhp (meaning din HP) depending on dyno. (Manual transmission cars)
For example, my own 2gen Camaro (LS3 with centri charger) pushes about 765 from wheels, 825 from engine.
This unopened LS376/525 which was the case was measured now bit over 530hp from engine, aiming 100hp more to that.

It only reads 428rwhp on Dyno Jet 248c.

Check out SpeedTigers 707 FWHP @ 7100 RPM with 403"
11.5:1 Compression and Cam Motion LLSR, with a 376"
Little more Comp ~12.75:1 E85 & 7500RPM should be do able.
Will need Premium parts and Premium Build.
MAMOFIED TFS LS3s or FRH OE LS3s or Dart LS3s Not out of the box OEs. Need 350+Intake CFM + valvetrain Stability to
7800 RPM Minimum.
Just my .02

I bought a motor that was a 4.185" bore and 3.27" stroke (360ci) around 12:1 compression built by Kurt Urban. Big solid roller cam, fully ported WCCH CnC AllPro heads and 2 piece CnC AllPro intake with 4500 series carb and spun to 9000rpm+. It made 625rwhp with dry sump, Kurt urban distributor drive... Manual trans... All the tricks. With a sheet metal tunnel ram and dual carbs it made 675rwhp.
