Default lsx 454 windage tray and oil pan Help

Have 454 lsx bought gm pan#19212593, came with windage tray pan dipstick,
Jegs said its for cars that need more clearence for rack steering. Installed and found rods hit the windage tray? Then Jegs sales me Holley#302-2 oil pan, it's to shallow up front for windage tray by about 1". Any help would be grate. the first pan needs to be 1/4" shallower also for it to miss my Rack steering

Mast motorsports sells a windage tray for 4' stroke. That's what I have. Or you can stack washers under the current tray and bend/modify it.

I fit a stock windage tray under a 4.250 stroke crank and Moroso steel pan. It took three .070" thick washers under the tray and some massaging of the louvers to clear the rods. Some rods will have less clearance than others.

It is my understanding that you will have to modify the Holley 302-2 oil pan in order for the crankshaft to clear it. There are pictures about on the net of what needs to be done. I have an LS3 based 427 with the Holley 302-1 oil pan and no clearance issues with the crankshaft. Also the stroker windage tray. No problems.
