I'm new to the forum so sorry if this has already been asked, but I got a question about a cam swap. I personally got a stock 4.8 in a truck, but I got an interest in the older truck engines for other stuff (the 6.0's). Anyway, regarding the camshaft, if I go with a higher lift cam compared to stock (not full race but more than stock) will I encounter valve-piston clearance issues? Also what provisions would I need if I add a stroker kit to an older 350 to make it a 383. What about a stroked 6.0 (LQ4) to either 408 or 427? And what provisions must be done to a stroked and cammed engine? I know a tall deck block would alieviate all these concerns, but I'm more interested in stock blocks. Also, looking at cams on SummitRacing, I've noticed that they're all interchangeable between all the LS engines, is this actually legit? Any and all advice is appreciated
