metal build up on drain plug???

Default metal build up on drain plug???

ok so i have a 2000 ls1 and everytime i change the oil there is a small build up of metal on the magnetic tip of the drain plug. is this normal? its not lot and its not chunks either.

I think/hope its normal as mine is the same. I guess thats why the magnet is there.

i was thinking it was normal as well. its like the build up you would find on the magnet of a rear diff cover if you were to doing a differential service on your 10 bolt. but im just checking ot make sure.

If it's silt like, then it's normal to a degree. If it's shavings or gritty... there's a problem.
