6.0 cranks,rods and pistons?
whats the hp limit on all these..i found a couple complete 6.0 vortec engines for sale at what looks to be a good price around 750-900$ depending on miles
i am wanting to do a l92 build with a carb.
i figure if i get the complete engine i can take stuff off the 6.0 and use it for ign and stuff
i would be going with a carb intake, and not sure on comp that would depend on the stock pistons or after market i went with.
i seen in the hot rod they got 525hp on motor..so i would be looking for that plus like a 200 shot of juice..how well do the pistons handle a 200 shot?

i would do pistons and arp rod bolts at the very least. Sdpc2000 parts has a nice set of stock replacement forged pistons me and a buddy put in his car and are holding awesome for being turbocharged (over 500rwhp right now). Dont quote me on this but check with them to see if they have the 6.0L sizes available, they have really good prices on everything. Hope this helps...

max i would be looking for out this engien would be like 800hp..its just going to be a fun lil street/strip car
the engine will end up in a light weight car also like 2800 or 2600lbs
not sure what yet..but even though i hate mustangs them are about the only thing i can get at a got price that can go that light..plus the 8.8 can take a nice amount of power with some mods.

I'm doing a similar combination except more race. I have a 6.0 with some L92's that just showed up yesterday. It will be around 12-12.5:1 compression, and I've got two carburetors to try, one 980cfm 4150 and a 1120cfm dominator. Since it will be a footbrake bracket car, it'll most likely want the 980 but it won't hurt to try both. I'm going to keep it a hydraulic roller for less maintenance since we have a Top Sportsman truck that will require all the attention. I'm hoping for 600-650 flywheel horsepower. Good luck with your setup.
