408 build
In the next 6 months I am going to have a 408 built. Between now and then I really want to be set on what all i want to go in it. I will probably get Erik Koenig to do the work, so I know the bottom end will be done right.
I am more concerned about the top end combo. I don't know which heads,cam,springs, lifters, Pushrods, or rockers to use with this motor. That is why I need your help. Give me some suggestions on what needs to go into the top end of this motor.
Rockers...Yella Terra?
Pushrods......any hardened PR with the correct length
Lifters..............??? Hydrolic or solid (Street car)
Springs................Patriot extreme??
My Two biggest Concerns
Cam..........I have no Idea what cam would be the best(cam would depend on the heads)
Heads.......I have 243 casting already on my car..........Get them ported or buy new ones??
I don't have the money to go and buy AFR's TF's
L92 with L76 intake or Well ported 243 castings with Fast 90/90??
Valve size?? I have stock valves right now.

Heads
Our 5.3 heads have very good results on that combo. Erik has a bit of experience with these heads. The 243's ported by the right shop/person are also a proven budget performer.
