Default Have some Lq4 questions!

This is being swapped into a 1977 Datsun 280Z and I had a few questions about cam choice with my future head/intake setup.

I am wanting to run the L92 heads and L76 intake until an aftermarket is available. What cam should I be looking forward to getting for mid-high range power. I know that intake sucks at high RPM flow, but with the car being so light I want it to not have a deadly low end. I have a 16 lb flywheel and a Ram clutch, so easy take-off during DD'ing could be a factor in this.

What cam would be good for daily driveability, good power, and have a fairly smooth idle. Going for anything over 400 @ the wheels, so throw some ideas.

Any other reccomendations like rockers/mild porting/flywheel change

leave the flywheel. that intake is going to basically die at 6,200 rpm, so it appears you can get a cam that will give you both low rpm grunt as well as mid-high rpm power. i'd look at something in the high 22x/low 23x on a 110 lsa. anything higher will push your peak above 6,200 and rob you of low rpm power. you can use your stock 6.0 exhaust rockers, but you need to find L92 intake rockers. if you need some 6.0 rockers, let me know and we'll work something out, as i only need 8 of them as well (and have 16). that head/cam/intake combo will EASILY put down 400+ whp through a 6 spd.

224/232, 0.585/0.590, 114

228/236, 0.566/0.551, 115

they are in the title at the top. I'm thinking of going with the same setup for my dad's ElCo swap. If it works out well i might just duplicate it for my car.

why the use of such a wide lsa? that will ultimately cut his peak hp down and flatten the curve. that motor should have no problem making tq..
