Default Building LQ9 using Gen IV parts?

Well Ive done the research and the thing is there isn't that much actually out there that can help with this. I know is that the knock sensors are in different positions and also the crank reluctors wheels are different counts.

Can someone please let me know what would be needed to get this in motion? I've found an LQ9 short block newly prepped for $1250, and I own a NNBS truck Gen IV 4.8L V8.

My mechanic has not done this swap before and he asked me to do some research before we pulled the trigger.

I want to cut on costs by using all the accessories from the new block onto the LQ9. The heads will fit as they are the truck version of the 243s. Please chime in if you know what I should do with the crank? My mechanic told me to get the new 6.0L crank and crankcase cover to fit on front of the LQ9 as opposed to the rear?

its starting be a headache!!!

If using the stock crank you will just have to get a 58x reluctor I don't believe the iron 6.0 are gen IV but since its going in a truck I don't see why you couldn't use SS TB parts they came with the ls2 which is probably what you will have to get the front and rear covers off of for the valley use an LS6 style. get some extension harness for the misc sensors that need them and the rest should just transfer over.
