iron block vs aluminum ls2
ok so i am wanting to build a 600hp forced induction ls2. i was going to buy a motor from a wrecked car (im swaping it into a c10). i have heard that the iron blocks are stonger than the aluminum block, but what are the iron block internals like. will stock crank go 600 hp? i guess what are the major differences in the two motors and what would i have to do to the iron block to make it boost worthy?
im asking this because i can get iron block 6.0's cheaper

are you buying an entire longblock, or just a shortblock?
internals are similar between the two. stock cranks have seen well over 600hp without issue.
stock shortblocks will be decently reliable between 500-550rwhp - i wouldn't push it too much further than that and expect it to last.
