Torque #'s on the Front timing cover and rear engine Cover

Question Torque #'s on the Front timing cover and rear engine Cover

what are the Torque Specs on the Front and Rear Covers for an LS2 engine ? is it 18ftlb ?

Did anyone use lock tight on these bolts ?

Yes and yes. Sorry for clarification it is 18 ft/lbs for both covers.

Of course you probably know this but I don't torque the timing cover bolts down until the pulley is on and has centered the cover/seal. Also make sure the rear main seal is on the crank and over both lips in the seal before you torque down the rear main cover or you will have some oil leakage...

Timing cover is 18ft lbs after the balancer is centered. Rear cover, not sure.

Front, Rear, Valley, all of those 8 mm bolts are 18 lbs.
