cam costs...help?
well I keep going back and forth about doing a cam in my truck and need general prices as theres been some changes with my work so I need to see if its justified...
custom cam from cam motion.
springs...918s maybe
titanium retainers....
what is cost of each...I want the extra power but need to see what it'll run me (im posting from my pda so excuse the format lol)
TIA.

Springs ran me about 160 bucks if I remember correctly - but 918s are only for cams up to around .600 lift, which is pretty big if its a street car. I didn't change retainers because I don't plan on spinning this thing too high - and I'll be changing the springs again and the retainers once I do. Make sure you set aside money for a tune as well or I wouldn't even bother with the cam. Which one are you gonna be tossing in there anyways? Make sure you have supporting mods as well (intake/full exhaust) or the cam won't let the motor breathe correctly.

my truck already has intake mods and LTs with true duals...how much is a street tune generally? the cam will be around 592 to 594 so the 918's and tit. retainers are a must...my breaking point is 800 bucks...
