Default Re-ground cam for 408....anything to worry about?...

I purchased a re-ground cam (236/242, .595/.598 lift @ .050, 112lsa) for a great price....it looks like a comp cam core..no defects that I can see. The material removed was from around the base of the lobes...hence the lower lift compared to the comp X-ER lobes....is there anything to be concerned with here?....

Anyone else have a re-grind working well in their LS1/LS2?....

you are going to need some custom length pushrods, but as long as it has been re hardened it should be ok.

yeah, I figured the PRs would change....but help me with the re-hardening comment....are you saying because the lobes were ground down on the back that the hardness of the cam was comprimised?...

Curious, never bought one, how much is a re-ground cam?
