I am doing an LS swap in my '97 1500 Silverado. The LS has approximately 30000mi or so. Ithe was suggested I should do a DOD delete before installation, and was hoping for some input on a cam upgrade. What would be a nice cam upgrade for an occasional daily/long distance traveling driver? And would/should I change Springs, etc.?

There are drop-in cams available that work on stock springs. Google a 5.3 drop in cam, you should get a few suggestions.

If your LS motor swap is a 2013 or older, your in the wrong section..this is a Gen 5 thread...what year is your 5.3?

why not keep the dod on the motor , **** i get 27 mpg with that technology
