true street?
what kind of safety requirements must a car have to run in the true street class? my car has never been down a 1/4 but it runs 7.0 in the 1/8. the only thing that i have is a driveshaft safety loop.
since by judgeing by 1/8 mile time i would be close to a 11.0 do i need a cage to run in the true street class? just did not want to pull my car 5 hours to get turned down or make one pass and get kicked off the track

Or just add some weight and run it at 11.50 (roughly a 7.35-7.40 in the 1/8th).

I have a DS loop on my Spohn Tq. arm mount, I have a 10.0 135 cert. 6 pt. Wolfe Chromoly Bar and my 15" Drag wheels have metal valve stems as do all my wheels now that I think about it.
Are stock style restraints ok? I.E. seatbelt or do I need a 4 point or 5 point harness system. My local track will let us get away with shorts in the summer if we are running 7.49 or slower. They let me run with shorts on several 6.90 runs, but they do tell the guys that are running any to much faster than that to put pants on. So I guess I'll need fire pants too?

I'd go and look over the NHRA rules, but you cannot race in shorts, and you can keep using a stock 3 pt seat belt at your ET. I don't remember all the specifics for 10.00 and slower, like the fire jacket, but fire pants not needed.
