Default Most of my cars have four cylinders...

...but not all! I work at a shop that does a lot of high performance Miata stuff, and we've started doing LS conversions. We have an LS1-powered 2002 Miata that we use for testing, and I kinda got hooked on the engine.

There's an MGB GT in my garage at home that's going to get a proper engine shortly. I'm thinking L33 with a T56 with a completely stock body - a bit of a sleeper. I'm pretty competent mechanically but I don't know the engines at all. So get ready for some questions!

V8 MGB sounds like fun. That is one short wheel base and will make for some very interesting driving. Looking forward to updates as it comes together.

The wheelbase is actually about 2" longer than a Miata wheelbase and I'm pretty comfortable with those. I'm going to build a full independent suspension for the car so it handles as well - probably graft a narrowed Miata setup underneath. It won't be a small project.

Going with a LS3, well then you should have plenty of power in stock trim in such a vehicle I would guess. Good luck with your project.

I'm going for an L33, not an LS3. I'm not nuts Then again, we're doing an LS3 swap into a Miata right now at work, that should be exciting.
