Default New member doing an lS1 swap into a porsche

I got fed up dealing with my 944 turbo motor. So I'm going with an LS1 swap and was told this place was the be all end all when it came to LS1's.

Theres a 98 LS1 I hope to pick up for cheap over in the classified section that I plan on doing a rebuild on. I hope to get around 450hp out of the motor which should be easily done with a cam swap. I'll make sure to post pictures of my progress. The car will be a track car mainly for road courses.

The 944 is currently caged, gutted, and on coilovers, it just needs a nice ls1

ready to be pulled

Now I need to bust out a power washer and get this sucker clean

Nice project!

If you haven't already be sure and check out the conversions and hybrids section, there is tons of info there.

Thanks dude I'll have to go check it out, I'll be doing the renegade hybrids kit so its pretty much plug and play. But I'm sure I'll come across the usual snafu's.

Do you have a link I could check it out at?

A buddy of mine has a 951 and dreams of having an ls1 944 to park next to it.
