Default New heart for my RX-7

Hello,

I am going to be spending a lot of time here now since I am swapping my rotary engine for a 2004 LS1. I have many questions BUT I am sure there is plenty of information here.

You will have a fast hotrod with that setup.I was at my local dyno shop and they had an older rx-7 on the dyno with an ls-3 an turbo in it and it made 640hp and 617tq on the first pull and after some tuning it went to 700 on both. It was the ugliest thing to look at,painted four different colors with primer spots all over and one big fart pipe out back but that thing had to be very fast.My Impala went on the dyno next and only made 325hp and 323tq,I felt very slow.

Your in the right place but you should check out the conversions & Hybrid section. Tons of great info on similar swaps. LSX motors are the way to go since they are compact, light and its so easy to make good power. Good choice but it wouldn't hurt to toss on some new heads and throw in a cam while the motor is already out.
