A Ford Guy...
Let the bashing begin! lol
Hello everyone. I may be a Ford guy but I have respect for all cars. My uncle's a big Camaro guy so I know a little about them. Having grown up with my father building Mustangs, it's just what I know. I'm still young at just 22 years old and still learning so I've joined the site to do just that, learn more about an equally respectable car make.
I'm also here as a local car club founder looking to incorporate a bigger GM crowd. We are a local group in the MD, PA, DA, NJ, and VA area known as the Mid-Atlantic Domestics (MAD) Crew. It is currently comprised of mostly Mustangs and my Focus and I would like to change that. We want the crew to be a mutual group for any domestic car make and model.
I have two project cars. The first is my 1993 Mustang LX that started out as a 2.3L 4 banger and I'm currently doing a 5.0 swap. It's within just a couple weeks of completion. It is a stock 302 cast iron long block with the following done:
- Comp XE270HR-12 cam (.512 lift, 270 adv. duration)
- Trickflow dual valve springs with steel retainers
- Edlebrock Performer intake manifold
- Holly 4160 600cfm carb (vacuum secondaries, electric choke)
- Hooker equal length shorty headers
- BBK o/r H pipe
- 2.5" MAC dumps
- Summit HEI distributor
- Ford Racing 10mm plug wires
- A/C delete
- Freshly rebuilt AOD trans (less than 300 miles on it)
- Silverfox SPT-1 valve body
- TCI 2400 stall converter
- Ford Racing trans fluid cooler
- Maximum motorsports solid motor mounts
- 8.8 rear w/ 3.73 gears, LSD, rear disc conversion
This is how it currently sits.
My second project is my 2007 Ford Focus. I bought it new in Feb. 07 and have loved it. It's a 2.0L Duratec 3 door hatch with a 5 speed manual. It's not your average Focus though. Here's the mod list.
- FSWerks Stage 2 turbo kit
- Garrett GT28RS turbo
- Cast turbo manifold
- FSWerks tuned @ 11psi
- Garrett FMIC
- Bosch 42# injectors
- NGR Type-S BOV
- 2.5" SS downpipe
- 2.5" SS race exhaust
- VF engineering poly rear motor mount
- stock internals, stock valvetrain, all stock long block
- Exedy stage 2 ceramic clutch with aluminum flywheel
- SVT 5 spoke wheels
- Dunlop Dizzera Z1 Star Spec 225/45/17s
- EBC drilled and slotted rotors
- Hawk HPS pads
- Eibach Sportlines springs/shocks/struts
- Steeda 26mm rear swaybar
- steel endlinks w/ poly bushings
- Gutted interior
- Corbeau A4 seats
- Corbeau 3 point harnesses
Here's a couple recent pics of it.
I'm glad to be here and hope to learn alot.

We're all over the Mid-Atlantic with members down in Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We just had a meet last weekend at Tony Luke's in Philly. We try to rotate it and have a meet in a different state each month to give everyone a chance to make it out.
