anyone ever do a 3800 series 2 build i was just wondering if anyone on here has done a 3800 series 2 build up...such as heads,cam, etc..what are they capable of...

Its possible and there is a member here with a pretty fast 3.8L but unlike an LS where you can just buy and mix off the shelf parts expect to be paying for many custom parts such as heads, cams, and such.
