New to LS1Tech - Canadian LS1/6 powered 240sx
First of all, I should have done this a while ago, but a big thanks to the entire forum for all the info. I have been using the site for a couple of years for reference material - big thanks to all the contributors.
I am from Canada - eh.
I imported a 240sx (actually two), from the US, but one was destined to be a road race car. It's got a 00' firebird LS1, and originally a T-56, but now T-56 magnum (sweet tranny). SIKKY equipped swap stuff, all the essentials. Since grip, I wanted to make sure my oiling system was up to par. It's got the accusump, with a cooler, and mocal thermostat/remote filter etc etc.
The car itself has a lot of mods too, all heim joint suspension, big stoptech brakes, Stance 3 way coilovers, Infiniti Q45 rear viscous diff with high capacity finned cover (3.54 - beefier axles and hubs etc), stitch welded inside (plans for elsewhere also), 10 point chromoly TIG welded roll cage. A lot of research went into the cooling system, steam vent setup which I fabbed a custom expansion tank for etc
Engine is basic, just an LS6 intake and valley cover, 241 heads, eagle rods, CP pistons, OEM camshaft with plans GMPP ASA cam/upgraded springs etc.
Car successfully runs up with C6 Z06 cars with slicks, and I am on DOT R-rated tires. I'd say it was a successful build with a little help from the LS1tech community, and others.
But of course...we're never done here, are we?
Enjoy!
