greetings from Hungary
Hello Guys
I am Balazs from Hungary and I am pretty new to the LS world.
I have a 72 Nova project ongoing that needs a new engine.
It looks like it is hard to beat the LS family so I decided to go on this route.
Currently I am trying to find a nice engine to start.
I am keep searching the infos from these engines to find out which engine would be the best for me as a budget build.
It can be either a 5.3 or a LQ4 truck engine.
I will have a lot of question for sure.
Merry Christmas )

welcome to the site, try to get everthing you can from same donor is best. Just makes things go a little easier. Cant go wrong with either engine as both work out great. You"ll need to change truck oil pan out but dont use GM Muscle car pan kit. I have it on my 76 skylark it fits but sits lower than the crossmember about 1 1/2 inches. Seems everybody using Holley pan or F-Body car pan.

After almost a year things were changed. A lot... The Nova is getting better and better.
Here we are now:
2013 L96 6.0
BTR Stage II cam
Ported/polished heads Ls3, (shaved to bump up compression to a healthy 10:1)
Ls3 intake
Stainless Works headers
6L90E transmission
The new heart
