new to the site, also still learning about the ls engines. cut my teeth on the older chevy's (small & big block) so give me pass if I ask the dreaded stupid question!!! Retired USAF, Turned wrenches on 1&2 engine jet fighters, also C130 trash haulers, had the best job in the USAF, which is the KC135 Boom Operator,,, u have 3 officers take u to work & all u have to do is lay on your belly & pass gas!!! Current ride: 03 Silverado (2wd/reg/cab/short box), owned it since 2004, only has 70k miles. Just a few conservative changes, ie., 20" chrome Tahoe wheels, flow master duals, lowered just a bit, k&n cai... looking for ways to get more out of a 4.8... short of a diff. eng. Don't want to go crazy with it as I am in the market for a C5 Vette... Have to be conservative with how much I spend as I just retired from my 2nd job. The wife wants a convertible, I d/n care as long as it is a C5 Vette. I would like to have one that is Lemans Blue or Magnetic Red.,,, Sorry bout running on....
