First ls build !! I just bought a 4th Gen 4.8 and I'm thinking about sending it to a machine shop to get the cylinder walls bored because I would like to run a stock 5.3 crank and rods with 5.7 pistons. I have 799 heads which I was told are the same as the ls3 243 heads ( a good solid head ) . I would like to get as much power efficiently without absolutely draining my bank account. I would like to set it up with a t6 turbo and put it in a half ton single cab silverado or sierra. I'll take all the knowledge yall have here to help me get started . thanks...!

If you plan to turbo it, its pointless to bore/stroke it out to a 5.7.
In-fact, if its a Gen 4 4.8, its pointless to do anything. That stock long block should be good to almost 1200 HP.
