New member from Murfreesboro, TN. I've been lurking the boards for a few months, and decided to make an account as my project starts to take shape. I'm working on research and buying parts for my budget LSx & Auto trans swap into my 240sx convertible. Hoping to learn tons, find some good deals on parts, and hopefully meet some other people in the same area with similar projects and knowledge. Thanks everyone.
Project info: 1993 Nissan 240sx convertible restoration/sleeper. Interior and cloth top have all been completely re-done. Looking to swap in a 4.8 or 5.3 with an auto transmission for a weekend cruiser/fun machine/pony killer. Currently trying to decide on the cost/benefit/availability of the different auto's and their ability to mate to the 4.8/5.3 as well as fit in my trans tunnel without too much fab work (4l60e/4l80e/TH350/TH400). No trans brake since I want to keep my stock rear end, and don't really have any interest in track days.
