Hello all, I am brand new to this forum and to LS life. I have a 69 Camaro and just recently bought a 5.3 that I plan on putting in my Camaro. I am sure I will have lots of questions. So thanks ahead of time.

well tanks inc here in iowa has a gas tank set up for injection. Direct bolt in. The generation 3 engines/ trannys are easier on first time swap beginners. 99-early 07 trucks/ vans/ suv"s. Lt1swap.com has great wiring info so u can do truck harness yourself. 2003 and newer are DBW throttle(not sure on vans) but are not hard to run. Its just matching gas pedal and tac box to hook up. I did on my skylark. 4.8 and 5.3 engines go cheaper. 04-07 have a 5.3 engine code "B" 8th digit of vin are all aluminum rated 310hp. Weighs about 350lbs without accessories on it. Cast iron block 5.3 are 280hp. 6.0s are nice but usually more expensive. Different ones of those too. LQ4 and LQ9 with the 9 higher horsepower do to flat top pistons. Hope this helps some
