Hoping to rise from the ashes...
Literally. I'm in the desert, in the military and should be back to Florida in a week. Been away for a few months. My buddy had been caring (very well) for my toys, cleaned up my baby (a very low mileage vortech'd 94Z) and had it ready for my return. Then I got a call on Monday and got some pretty bad news. Florida wildfires had consumed both of my cars (the other was a built Talon) and my motorcycle (and my buddies shed) and sadly about 100 homes, etc in the area. I'm crushed, saw video that showed even the rims had melted. I doubt anything can be saved so I MAY be needing to move onto something else. I figured I'd join up and start looking at options. So there we have it... Now I'll get to reading.

Always remember that there are no problems in life...just opportunities.
Sorry to hear about the fire. Why not move on to a LS1 F-body or LS1/LS6 Vette. Prices on C5 Vettes are coming down so much and they have SO much potential as I'm sure you know. Plus with a 6-speed, exhaust, intake, and tune you can get 30-35mpg easily.

Thanks for the greetings!!! I think a Z06 would be sweet but I may lean towards the more affordable F-body... It's been my thing the past 10 years or so, might as well stick with what I know. The LS platform although slower *wink* will be new and fun. Like you said, opportunity. I lost a good deal of money but we had good times, the important thing is my buddy, his family and his house are safe. Take care.

Welcome, I am just a bit south of where your cars were located. Sorry to read about your loss, but I think everything happens for a reason. If you keep your eye open you can find a good deal on a F-Body, it might take a bit though some people are a bit loony with their prices. I know of a couple reasonable priced LS1 cars in Florida (none of which are mine) if you're interested shoot me a PM.
