new 6.1L RS from NY hey everyone, a newbie from upstate NY who's finally joining after many, many years of following LS technology in just about evey other source. First got into the Gen. III motor when the 4h generation F-chassis debuted mid '97 with Car and Driver's unveiling of the '98 Trans Am and Hot Rod's detailed engine summary on the new SS. I've owned my share of F-body's and after all of them I've chosen a third-gen with LS power. I recently purchased a '92 RS acrylic t-top car with a 3.1L/4L60 from a high school friend, and as well as purchsed a very well kept 54K mile, 6.0L LQ4 from an '04 Sierra. The car is scheduled to stay fairy mild with the 6.0L being all stock rotating assy. with LS6 castings and intake, with LS7 lifters and other stock perf. goodies and a stregthened 4L60 with a looser converter and some 10 bolt upgrades riding on a WS6 suspension and SLP ZR1 wheels. Polo Green Met. and khaki (int.) are her colors, jaws are what she will drop.
