Default Walbro 255 Question

I removed my pump and comparing the two, the Walbro is considerably smaller and didn't come with the same size sock. What looks like is going to happen is that the pump sits there without the lower portion of the oem plastic, the hose is removed, and the pump essentially floats?

The pn was walbro 340. If someone could lend some advice that would be great. Its on my 98

The sock also only has one hole in it for the pump and doesn't have a spot for the fuel pressure regulator.

What year camaro is the pump for? The 98 Pumps don't have the small brass hose barb fitting for the regulator just the pumps made for the 99-02 cars have them.

Its been in since yesterday. There was a brass barb coming off of the regulator. I just ran a hose down and hose clamped the pump.
