fuel pressure regulator mounting position

i always see the fuel pressure regulator mounted straight up and down. does it have to be?

could i mount it under the cowl if i wanted to?

you could make a bracket and mount under the cowl standing up...

but to answer your question i think it doesnt matter at hpp we mounted a few that were 45 sideways and 45 forward
