Default Taking rear rotor's off question.

Hey everyone,I did a search but no answer.I removed my rear rotors to replace a broken stud and the e-brake shoe tore so i bought new shoe's at $98.00 and put them on.Then I decided I wanted to paint the rotors hats,But the rotor is still sticking to the pads. How do I release the parking brake tension?(And I know to release the hand lever)Thanks for any help.
