SES light on... put reader on and no code?
i was driving back from breakfast, not beating on it by any means (i am still breaking in the clutch), and out of the blue my SES light pops on.
i get home and throw the reader on, and it says "MIL ON" (MIL=malfunction indicator light) but showed no codes. so i erased it, started it twice and no light.
any thoughts on it?

You need a better scanner. I had a 1994 car with a Acatron (sp) autozone special scan tool with the correct software. It wouldnt show I had a MAP sensor go bad.
But I go on my laptop with Datamaster and It came up fine.
Since you erased it, it may take time to come back especailly if it's ODBII, Id find someone with a GM scanner, or get a laptop for the future.

ive used 3k scanners that wouldnt read some codes. best ones ive used are the snap on motius, and gm's scan tools. which you prolly wont be able to get access too
those are your best bets.
