rough idle how can i fix? ok the car has 160k miles on it and i need to replace the lifters cu ones going bad. the car at the time has a real rough idle the rpms dont bounce around but the car shakes some and its just rough. wen i fix the lifter id lik to do some p&p work on the heads from a local shop and possibly a small cam ill be replacing the lifters pushrods and everything on the heads and of course new gaskets. but i dont want to spend the money on this work if its the bottom end thats causing the bad idle. do u guys think a good tune after this work will get the car unning smooth again?
