Stereo & Electronics - crazy t/a knob

alright im buyin my buddys trans am next week

so i take it for a ride today and the radio knob is crazy the car is mnt and the radio looks and sounds new but turning it up turns the volume down and turning is down turns the volume up? the steering wheel controls work great but wtf? hes giving me an alpine with it but i love the stock look anyone ever hear of this?

happens alot nothing u can really do unless u replace the radio, could try cleaning the volume control or something

Mine has done that since the day it came from the factory. :( I just use the steering wheel controls instead.

I only have the issue where turning it down turns it up slightly sometimes.

damn I thought mine was the only one. :lol:

Mine did the same from time to time also.

ALL of the pontiac delco radios do it or will do it one day. factory defect. replace it anyway.
