Question what does the +1 mean on the cam degree

i found a cam i wanted to put in my 99 SS and am confused on what the degree in a 114 differ from a 113+1 ?
the nitrous cam specs are 228/236, 0.551/0.600, 114

and the custom cam i found is 224/228 .590"/.595" 113+1 Custom Camshaft

which would give me more performance and have a nice sound to it

the nitrous cam is a crane cams scoggin dickeys custon n228 camshaft
and the other is a Shop custom cam i found on ebay that claim 50 hp gains over stock cam
New In The Box Camshaft Ready To Install 50+hp gains!

i have my motor torn apart and am trying to decide on a cam that will put me over 400 rwhp with supporting mods
i bought a lingenfelter weiand intake polished and an 80 mm throttle body
and some ported 243 heads with lunati voodoo 600. lift beehive style springs

The +1 is the amount of lobe advance that is ground into the cam. You can get the same results as a +1 by just taking a +0 cam and installing it in the motor with 1 degree of advance.

The advance means that the valves will open and close sooner which typically in theory results in a slight increase in low-mid range power and a reduction of high end power compared to a +0 cam.

I like cam 1. (it works better with a 1.8 rocker on it though) Here you go, tell Scog you want a Crane custom 224/232 .590/.600 113+4 (LSHS/HR5).
