Tire pressure
I am on my 2nd set of tires on my 17x9 rims running 275/40/17 tires. The first set went bald in the center prematurely due to over inflation at only 30psi. these are also wearing out the center. So my question is what pressure should i be running?

The fronts are wearing in the center faster than the rears. But they are a softer compound tire and are due for a rotation. I took my wheels off of my old V6 to put on this car before I sold it. and the tires have done it on both cars. a 25000mile tire wore out in less than 17000 on a V6 that couldnt do a true burn out, the best it could do once they heated up was a quick chirp, and i rarely did that.
The tires that were on the car when I bought it were fine, and they were 17x9 also
Same make and tire design with both sets. I have tried no other tires/makes with these rims.

Its getting irritating. Being in college I cant afford to buy a new set of tires. I need them to last as long as possible. And I dont feel like it is safe to run below 30psi. Hell I dont even like them being that low
