Default Hmmm Spark Knock

For some reason ? ( just my luck ) i am sure! I am getting spark knock in 4th gear when i first hit the gas its doesnt show up , but I can here it! I am running alittle black smoke out the back !
Just thought a gentlemen on here told me to run .027 gap on my plugs bad idea!!!!!!!!!???????
I have not done it yet but just wanted to get more input 402 ms4 camshaft 11.6 compression . I think ( someone else might check math )
4.00 bore 4.125 stroke .. 64 cc heads flat tops with 2 cc reliefes

Sounds like the tune might need a little tweaking.

so could the tune cause this ? i mean it must be rich with the black smoke pouring out!

Yes. If it's actually pinging and it's not lean then it might just need a little less timing in that area.

.027" plug gap? Unless your boosted, there is not reason to shrink the plug gap that much. You need a wideband and then need to log some data to see whats going on and where in the tune.

Why would you hear knock, but not have the sensors pick it up? Have they been de-sensetized? I thought the sensors picked up before your ears could?
