My engine bay is really dusty. Maybe a little greasy I dont know but I havent cleaned it for around 6 months so you can make the judgement here ...
Whats good to use on the engine bay? I'd prefer something just to spray over the engine without having to wipe it down.
Anything I should be careful at when cleaning the engine? I see too many wires everywhere. What should I try to avoid spraying on or towards?
Also how cool or warm should the engine be before cleaning? Car is basically stock except for the airlid. I did a search but all I found was to avoid using high pressure.

you can use simple green when the motor has cooled off. spray it right out of the bottle let it sit for about 5 min then hose off try not to get the water directly on any electrical connectors other than that......

Re: how to clean engine bay. Tell me what to be careful of plz.
Would the "All-Purpose Cleaner" work fine?
On the back of the bottle it says "DO NOT USE ON PLASTIC INSTRUMENT PANELS..." Would that be fine on the air lid???? Dont think so.
i see in the simple green website theres a bottle that says AUTOMOTIVE:
http://www.simplegreen.com/products/...tomotive1.html
Did I just buy the wrong one?
Also how cool or warm should the engine be? Cool enough to let the car sit till next morning and do it before starting the car? Or let the car warm up to 200F and apply simple green 30 minutes after?
How long should I let it sit to dry before and after rinsing it off?
Engine bay is super dirty. I need to spray everywhere possible. Can I spray on the coil packs and wires?
Let me know of all the stupid stuff I should avoid doing.
I dont wanna mess anything up.
