Default Are ARP head bolts enough?

Hey all,

I'm working on a D1-SC build on a 346ci LS1 with forged pistons and rods. I'm planning on 12-14psi. Currently, I have a set of ARP head bolts. Will these be sufficient, or do I need to upgrade to studs?

Also, as a side note, do you think stock 241 heads will stand up to that after having been milled .040"?

Thanks in advance!

I have used arp head bolts to 900-1000fwhp with out troubles, I have also used the stock fasteners to that point. After that and you want studs and then a little more then you need more studs lol (6bolt).

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think the heads are okay after being milled? I hear the deck thickness can be an issue on heads lifting, and I'm just concerned about it.

I do not think a D1 will get you into any trouble with the milled head.
