Default Broken starter should I be worried?

My starter broke off, I found coolant in cylinder 7 I was going to replace the head gasket/ check the head. I got on here and started reading and see alot of people had this happen and destroyed the rod and the engine, I have an all forged bottom end and the tab on the starter is pretty weak, should I be worried about a bent rod? Thanks....and Happy Thangsgiving

ive broken starters before and had the engine ok.. if you do get lucky i would put a fuse 175A or so on the starter wire next time so that will pop instead.

more importantly was why coolant in that cylinder? bigger problems than the starter?

when mine did it it was cuz of rainwater leaking past the injector o ring.

I am running boost and cometic gaskets.....I am hoping I just have a gasket problem....that fuse idea is genius.....I was going to use the stronger truck starter, but I would rather break the starter than the block.
