new best with minimal mods well, went to track tonight, finally. mods are in my sig. i also got the surpise of a custom 2-3 extreme shift slipage. i new it was questionable on the street but the track really brings it out. but, i guess cutting 6.5 tenths off with just headers and gears (vs last trip out in february) and the 2-3 slip that isnt too bad. i think the car could pull a 12 sec pass ofter i get the rebuild done. the tranny was slipping to the rev limiter, would completly fall on its face, shift and then go. when i say fall on its face i mean completely nose down and all.

like i said, the only difference is the gears and headers. hopefully the tranny will be rebuilt by the end of january. depends on how the christmas bonus looks. sucks, i had and ls6 intake and a tune but that wouldnt do any good with my slipping tranny mod.

I'd say be easy on the car ubtil you can get it rebuilt, Also DO NOT put a stock stall in that car, You will be very satisfied wit ha 3200-3600 vig or other brand of choice. Also make sure to get all the goodies with the rebuild. transgo high rev kit, wide 2nd band, etc. etc

OP, are you brake stalling the car at the line or flashing it?
On street tires my car always does better brake stalling it until 1200 RPMs then mashing the gas on green....
I finally cut a 1.9 and ran a 12.84 @ 107.77....I have a little more mods than you though

as far as a converter, i am going with a yank ss3600 and you wont change my mind lol. however, since the tranny needs to be done, i cant afford that now. going to have to get my stocker cleaned and reinstall it until i can afford a good converter. unless someone hands me $600, i just cant do both right now.
i am launching just the same way you are. i know there is a 12 sec pass in there if the tranny was good. i am satisfied for now considering how bad the slip is. once it falls on its face at 6200-6300 its shifts and takes off again. cant wait for a stall, ls6 intake and tune. should run great.
